The W.O.R.D. Ministries, Inc. is a bible-based independent Christian church that promotes unity in the body of Christ by emphasizing holy living, sanctification, excellence, and obedience to God's Word and by embracing all people in LOVE regardless of race, creed, color, denomination, culture or physical or mental impairment.

THIS IS WHAT WE BELIEVE AND TEACH:

All Scripture is given by the inspiration of God…. (2 Timothy 3:16).

The Mystery of Godliness... (1 Timothy 3:9, 16) is difficult to understand completely but the following is clear:

The LORD our God is ONE…(Deuteronomy 6:4).

He is the LORD God that made the heavens and the earth...(Genesis 2:4)

He is the "LORD God" and therefore does as HE pleases in the heavens and in the earth without asking the PERMISSION of ANYONE. (Daniel 4:34-35, Acts 17:24-28)

He is the LORD God that has CHOSEN to reveal Himself to humanity as the Father (Ephesians 4:6), as the Son (John 1:1, 1:14), and as the Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7).

He is the LORD God whose complete nature cannot be captured in a single manmade construct, therefore, we choose to refer to God as He refers to Himself as ONE. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

Terms such as modalism, trinity, persons, etc. are finite constructs created as part of a theological system to explain the nature of an infinite God. (See Job chapters 39-41)

He is the LORD God who reveals himself only through divine revelation, not by the will, skill or wisdom of men. (Matthew 16:15-17, Luke 10:22)

At The end of the day, "There Can Be Only One!" (Isaiah 43:11, 1 Corinthians 8:6, James 2:19)

SIN

All unrighteousness is SIN… (1 John 5:17, Romans 1:29)

By one man (Adam) sin entered into the world…(Romans 5:12-14)

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23).

The wages of sin is death…(Romans 6:23)

SALVATION

But the gift of God is eternal life…(Romans 6:23)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be immersed (baptized) every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Act 2:38)

WATER IMMERSION(Baptism): It is an essential part of New Testament salvation. It is part of entering into the kingdom of God (God's church), and therefore, it is not merely a part of local church membership. (John 3:5; Galatians 3:27).

TONGUES: Paul said, "Forbid not to speak with tongues" (I Corinthians 14:39).

DIVINE HEALING: Jesus said, "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover..." (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-16).

PROSPERITY:

(Beware of) men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. (1 Timothy 6:5)

Proper stewardship is the fundamental principle for managing all God's spiritual and material blessings (Luke 12:42).

Stewards do not accumulate "things" for selfish purposes since such an attitude is clearly condemned in the Old and New Testaments (Leviticus 23:2, Luke 9:23-25, Luke 12:20-21).

Faithful stewards recognize that the principle of sowing and reaping is intended as a means to support those with the greatest need not the greatest greed. (2 Corinthians 9:6-15)

MARRIAGE: Is scripturally defined as a legally recognized union between one man and one woman.(Genesis 2:23-25, Matthew 19:4-6)
