The Word of Restoration and Deliverance Ministries, Inc . (The W.O.R.D. Ministries, Inc.) is a bible-based independent Christian church that promotes unity in the body of Christ by emphasizing holy living, sanctification, excellence, and obedience to God's Word and by embracing all people in LOVE regardless of race, creed, color, denomination, culture or physical or mental impairment.

  1. We are not a part of any group, assembly or association which identifies itself by a name, label or title to promote its' beliefs or doctrine. 1 Corinthians 3:1-7

  2. We use the terms “Christian church” out of respect for the varying degrees of revelation that God has given to each person, not as a means to lure the unsuspecting into attending our services. Romans 12:3-4

  3. We respect every person's right to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the scriptures without being judged.” Philippians 1:6

  4. We believe that God has given every person a measure of understanding and faith sufficient to meet his or her needs and it is our intent to support them in the continuing growth and development of that faith. Ephesians 4:7, 13-15

  5. We demand no more of an individual than what God demands. We expect no more of an individual than what God expects. Matthew 23:4 , Romans 14:19, 15:1-3, Acts 15:28

  6. We stand in obedience where the Scripture speaks and mature freedom where they are silent. 1 John 5:3 , 1 Timothy 3:9

  7. We desire unity in the body of Christ, but we do not seek unity for unity's sake. Unity must come from the truth. And we believe that God's word is truth. John 17:19-23 , Ephesians 4:3-6

  8. We worship God in the Spirit and in truth and believe in the active participation of those in attendance in praising and glorifying God. John 4:23, Psalm 150

This is what we believe and teach:

The Bible is the inspired Word of God (1 Timothy 3:16 ) , giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity (2 Peter 1:16-21). Moreover, there is no salvation outside of what is taught in its pages (Acts 4:10-12).

One God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Ephesians 4:6), as the Son (John 1:1, 1:14), and as the Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7).

God is a Spirit (John 4:24). He is the Eternal One, the Creator of all things, and the Father of all humanity by creation. He is the First and the Last, and beside Him there is no God (Isaiah 44:6). There was no God formed before Him; neither shall be there any after Him (Isaiah 43:10).

Jesus is the Son of God (Romans 1:3) and God Himself (Matthew 1:23). Jesus is the Christ (Matthew 16:16); the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16-17); God with us (Matthew 1:23); God made flesh (John 1:1-14); God manifested in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16);He which was, which is, and which is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8);the mighty God, everlasting Father, and Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God (the Creator) and God Himself. He comes to dwell in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes and obeys the gospel, as the comforter, sustainer, and keeper (John 14:16-26; Romans 8:9-11).

Sin is the transgression of the law, or commandments of God (I John 3:4). The guilt of sin has fallen upon all humanity from Adam until now (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is eternal death (Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14) to all those who refuse to accept salvation as set forth in the Word of God (Acts 4:12).

Salvation : It consists of deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through faith in Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 3:15). The New Testament experience of salvation consists of repentance from sin, water baptism, infilling of the Holy Ghost and the living of a godly life (Acts 2:36-41; Acts 16:30-31).

Water Baptism : It is an essential part of New Testament salvation. It is part of entering into the kingdom of God (God's church), and therefore, it is not merely a part of local church membership. (John 3:5; Galatians 3:27).

Tongues : The gift of "divers kinds of tongues," mentioned by Paul in I Corinthians 12:1-12 and concerning which he gave regulations in I Corinthians 14:1-40, is given for self-edification (I Corinthians 14:4) and for the edification of the church (I Corinthians 14:27-28). Paul said, "Forbid not to speak with tongues" (I Corinthians 14:39).

Divine Healing : Jesus went everywhere healing those who were sick (Matthew 4:23-24), and He commanded His disciples to do the same (Matthew 10:8). He said concerning those who believe the gospel, "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-16).
